This privacy policy explains how cathyneale.com (Cathy Neale, “I”, “me”) collects and uses your information when you contact me or buy from my shop.
Contact and commission enquiries
When you use the Contact or Commissions forms, I collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the details of your message. These are sent to my email inbox and a copy is kept securely on this website so I don’t lose track of enquiries. I use them only to reply to you, discuss a commission or follow up on a collaboration.
Shop orders
When you place an order, I collect what I need to complete it:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your billing and delivery addresses
- what you ordered, any order notes (such as commission details), and your order history if you create an account
I use this to process and deliver your order, keep you updated on it, and handle any returns or questions. I keep order records for six years, because I’m required to for tax purposes.
Payments
Payments are handled securely by my payment providers (Stripe and/or PayPal). Your card or account details go directly to them. I never see or store your full card details. Their own privacy policies explain how they use your information.
Who I share it with
I only share your details where needed to fulfil your order: your name and delivery address with the delivery service (such as Royal Mail), and payment details with my payment provider. I don’t sell your information or share it for anyone else’s marketing. I won’t send you marketing emails unless you’ve separately agreed to them.
Cookies
The shop uses essential cookies to remember what’s in your basket and keep you signed in to your account. These are needed for the shop to work.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it (except order records I have to keep by law). Just email hello@cathyneale.com. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
